Last week, I helped my friend Gian transform into a drag queen for his experimental film. My god I love this boy. He’s right up my alley as far as types go, and if he weren’t so gay, I’d totally let him be the alpha in the relationship. Spot the paradox, yo.

I blended the crease out a much more than I should have. I didn’t realize that the original was a lot thinner. My bad! Anyway, the rest of the steps should be the same, though a pencil liner or a more precise brush would probably work better for recreating the crease.

I consider Laura Mercier to be a very feminine, elegant brand. Its entire line, from packaging to shade selection, always has an air of sophistication about it. As I haven’t a sophisticated bone in my body, this may be why I don’t own a lot of Laura Mercier products. You may not laugh.

Let it be said that I don’t hate the brand! Quite the opposite in fact. When it comes to neutrals and No-Makeup makeup, LM has some of the most gorgeous products. I sigh and lovingly swatch half the products on display every time I pay Rustan’s a visit. The only reason I don’t splurge on LM gunk is because I would rather spend money on crazy WTF colors than neutrals that would serve the same purpose as the ones I already have in my collection.

I thought it was about time I tried a more Lisa Eldridge approach to doing my eyebrows. She seems to have a propensity for a more natural look when it comes to eyebrows; unless a look calls for it, she never draws them on very structured and precise.

Nobody does natural better than Laura Mercier, so I headed over there and picked up this brow powder duo.

The moment MUFE’s Aqua Liners showed up in a Pixiwoo video, I knew I wanted them. According to MUFE, these liners are the favorite of synchronized swimmers. Also, mermaids.

I got one in a color I knew I would love as soon as its teal gorgeousness popped up on my computer screen.

Apparently, my skin has lightened up kind of a lot. My Chanel Pro Lumiere is a tad too dark for me at the moment. Nevertheless, click below for a very simple face featuring one of MUFE’s newer products, the Aqua Liner.

Lip Tars and Panties

It doesn’t take a genius to swipe on some lipstick. The tricky part is getting it to last longer and wear well through food and other… oral activities. You can’t just apply several layers of lipstick- that is an excellent way to get the gunk past your lip line and more attractively, on your teeth- and setting it with powder doesn’t sound like a very good idea, now does it? So what do we do? Shall we just succumb to our patchy-lipped fate?

Ah, but hope is not lost! In today’s tutorial, we learn that the magic word is blot.
